Dear Colleagues,

International Health Programs (IHP) in Santa Cruz, California, USA and the Institute for Training and Research in Family Planning (ITRFP), Alexandria, Egypt (affiliated with the Egyptian Family Planning Association) are building upon our partnership and collaboration in conducting workshops and study tours that have been successful in achieving desired results and impact over the last decade.

Participants from Africa, Asia, former Soviet Union countries, and the Middle East have traveled to Alexandria, Egypt to benefit from IHP/ITRFP training programs. All have left with new knowledge, skills and behavioral changes that stem from their training experience and exposure to health development programs as well as meeting His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, His Eminence Al-Mufti and Islamic professors to discuss various health issues from the Islamic point of view.

Based on observed need, interest and feedback from individuals, organizations and funding agencies, IHP and ITRFP are pleased to begin their 14th year of collaboration by presenting the following 2009-2010 training schedule of continuing education programs for health professionals.
As needs arise or in response to requests we will add additional programs.

We invite health professionals, politicians, lawyers and others who are advocates and providers of better health care for people to participate in the exciting development activities we have planned for the next two years. Equally, we invite funding organizations to provide scholarships and awards to qualified and dedicated candidates who wish to advance their individual and organizational capacities.
